Abstract

Longevity is here to stay, if the trend continues like this, people aged 65 and over will exceed the population of children and teenagers. Contrary to the thinking that these advances are because of the achievements of medicine, some authors suggest that this is a natural gain estimated at 2.5 months per year. As physicians, the goal to face this situation would not be testing with invasive procedures that could create dangerous situations, not overmedicalize, and to encourage patients not to smoke, to have a wide social network and excersising regularly
