Resumen

La fragilidad es un síndrome geriátrico muy importante por el impacto que tiene su presencia en la población anciana y por su íntima asociación con resultados adversos en la esfera de la salud. El diagnóstico es clínico (pérdida peso, cansancio, debilidad muscular, enlentecimiento de la marcha y poca actividad física); su tratamiento multifactorial y su abordaje en una etapa temprana permiten mejorar la calidad de vida de los pacientes y reducir los costos de su cuidado
