Abstract

A usual thyroid-cancer surgery under neural neuromonitoring of the recurrent laryngeal nerve is described. A detailed explanation of the case allows for an open discussion regarding the changes observed on the monitor while the recurrent nerve is manipulated; at the same time, a precise description of the use of this technology in thyroid surgery is given.
