Abstract

The prevalence of obesity increased dramatically in recent years. It is a multifactorial disease with great impact on health. Multiple factors cause and perpetuate obesity. Its pathophysiology includes biological, psychological, familial and social aspects. The approach in children and adolescents requires identifying barriers and facilitators in the different areas and early detection of clinical problems associated with obesity
